Open to the public. Enjoy the first day of summer with the Home Garden Club of Morristown as they sponsor a bus trip to Stonecrop Gardens, in Cold Springs, NY. The former home of Garden Conservancy founder Frank Cabot and his wife Annie, the 15 acre property sits on the windswept, Hudson River Highlands. Tour cliff gardens, water gardens, display gardens, an array of alpine plants, and an enclosed English-style garden. Also featured is a 2000 sq. ft. conservancy, a display Alpine House and Pitt House containing dwarf bulbs and beds representing 50 plant families. Get inspired! For more information visit www.stomecrop.org.
The bus will leave from the Morris County Library, 30 East Hanover Ave, Whippany (across from Frelinghuysen Arboretum) at 9:00am and return at approximately 5:00pm.
Tickets are $75, which includes transportation, a guided tour of the gardens and travel refreshments.
