The Art of Topiary Design

A regular meeting will be held at 11:30 am, at he Morris County Library, 30 East Hanover Ave., Whippany.

The program will follow at 1:00 pm. Marge Hulstrunk, award winning floral designer and club member, will demonstrate several design styles to create beautiful topiaries. She will use fresh and dried flowers, greens, and fruits as she shares tips from her 30 years of experience.





Home Garden Club of Morristown’s 100 year Celebration

A luncheon will be held at Verona restaurant in Randolph, to mark the club’s 100th year.

Established in 1925, the club has managed to maintain it’s presence by helping the community and educating the public through monthly programs and visits to the many well known gardens throughout the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania area. The luncheon will be filled with history and remembrances as they honor past and present members and events.

Your Medicinal Backyard

A regular meeting will be held at 11:30 am, at the Brookside Community Club, 1 East Main St., Brookside. The program will follow at 1:00 pm.

Donna Reynolds, of Willow Moon Herbals, will discuss the many uses of native plants located right in our own backyard. Donna, an experienced herbalist and herb educator, will point out, through a photo presentation, the many uses of local plants that are taken for granted, when they actually hold much value for our well being.





The Language of Flowers in Nature and Art

A regular meeting will be held at 11:30 am, at the Brookside Community Club, 1 East Main St., Brookside.

The program will follow at 1:00 pm. Rosemary Shire, art enthusiast, Master Gardener and member of the Garden Club of Westfield, will discuss the symbolism of flowers in art. She will share her extensive travel experiences and love of art history, as she compares photos from her garden and art depicting flowers. Rosemary will also touch on religious and mythological figures represented in floral art.





Lily Day

Lily Day, an annual event. A garden club member will open up their home and garden to enjoy a morning of fun. Members bring an unwanted treasure to be auctioned off to each other. Proceeds will be used to support club service projects.

Brunch will be provided by the hospitality committee.

Welcome Back Meeting and Plant Exchange

The year begins with a ‘welcome back’ meeting held at a member’s home. Afterwards, members enjoy sharing their gardening expertise with an annual plant exchange. Each member brings a plant, labeled with the common and botanical name and care information. Numbers are drawn to begin the plant selection and an afternoon of fun.

Bring a bag lunch. Desserts and beverages will be provided by the hospitality committee.
